The History
Way back in 1962 Sira and Remino (diminutive for Remo) decided to open a small shop in the typical Tuscan village of San Gusme’, in the heart of the Sienese Chianti Hills. Inside they sold cured meat, cheese, oil, wine and liqueur wine, either produced by them or by local manufacturers. For many years, people have travelled to this small shop from the whole province of Siena to enjoy the authentic Tuscan flavours. Sira and Remino’s has therefore become very popular across the years, whether for a lunch break or a simple snack among the famous Chianti vineyards.
In 2001 Nicola, son of Sira and Remino, decided to transform that small shop into a typical Tuscan eatery. It was an instant success. A welcome stopping point of many hikes across Chianti, Sira and Remino’s has delighted many a guest from all over Tuscany, tourists from Italy and abroad, including many well known public figures.
Even to this day Sira and Remino’s sets the bar when it comes to typical Tuscan cuisine, with local dishes made of fresh and authentic ingredients, carefully sourced from the whole of Tuscany.
With this as our guiding philosophy, we have resolved to offer you a range of products specifically handpicked from the owners of Sira and Remino’s, so that you may enjoy the specialities of Tuscany wherever you are.
